MLB Pitch, Hit and Run at Scarborough Village

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run is a FREE, 1 day event hosted by the West Hill Baseball League on Saturday, May 7th 2016 at the Scarborough Village diamonds beginning at 10am.

This competition is open to all kids aged 7-14 in the Greater Toronto Area. Boys and girls compete separately and participants have the opportunity to compete in 4 levels of competition including Locals, Sectionals, Team Championships and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.

PITCH – Throw strikes to a designated strike zone target
HIT – Hit from a stationary batting tee for distance and accuracy
RUN – Sprint from 2nd base to home plate (touching 3rd) for time

There will be 8 separate groups based on gender and age as of July 17, 2016:
• Age 7/8
• Age 9/10
• Age 11/12
• Age 13/14
The top scores in each age/gender group are awarded and advance to the Sectional Competition which will take place mid-May or early June.
• Pitching Champion
• Hitting Champion
• Running Champion
• All-Around Champion (combination of all 3 scores)

All participants must provide a copy of a valid birth certificate for age verification at all levels of competition.
